This interactive tool is designed to help members of the U-M research community navigate important recordkeeping requirements for animals undergoing anesthetic and/or surgical procedures.
The tool will prompt individuals to answer three short multiple choice questions about the species being used and the type of procedure being performed to determine what information must be included in the records and how the records should be submitted to ULAM veterinary care staff.
For detailed instructions on how to generate, maintain, and store animal health records, including guidelines for specific record types (i.e., tumor monitoring, food and/or water restriction, post-operative care), please refer to the following guidance documents:
