The New PI Onboarding Request Form should be completed by all Principal Investigators (PIs) who are new to the University of Michigan as part of the onboarding process.
The form asks several questions about:
- Species being worked with
- Plans to breed identified species
- Hazards use (e.g., chemical, radioactive, or biohazards)
- Special requests for diet, housing, etc.
- Requests for technical services support such as gavage, blood draws, or injections
Form completion not only assists the animal husbandry and compliance teams with understanding the unique needs of each PI's research, it also initiates the process of granting access to eRAM, U-M's animal protocol management system.
